Dear Burbank Unified Community Members,

We are pleased to announce that beginning October 1, 2026, Burbank Unified School District will officially launch Facilitron, our new online facility reservation and management system.

Beginning October 1, all new requests to reserve or use District facilities, including fields, gyms, auditoriums, classrooms, and meeting spaces, will be submitted through Facilitron. Users will be able to view available spaces, photos and descriptions, check availability, receive estimated costs, submit requests, upload required documentation, and make payments online. 

This transition is an important step in modernizing how Burbank Unified manages our facilities. Facilitron will provide a centralized, consistent, and user-friendly process for reservations, scheduling, insurance documentation, invoicing, and payments. The system will also provide direct support to users who need assistance.

The transition also supports the Burbank Unified Board of Education's goals to improve operational efficiency, strengthen District systems and processes, and maximize resources in support of students. Better coordination of facility use will improve scheduling and communication, reduce administrative workload, and help ensure our facilities remain well-managed and available to both our schools and community. Facility rental revenue also helps offset operating costs associated with maintaining these spaces for community use.

While the reservation process is changing, District policies governing facility use remain the same. Burbank Unified will continue to make final decisions regarding facility-use requests in accordance with Board policy and District procedures. 

Beginning October 1, anyone wishing to submit a new facility-use request should create or access their Facilitron account and submit the request online. Individuals and organizations with existing reservations may already have an account established and should look for communication from Facilitron regarding account access.

We recognize that transitioning to a new system takes time. Facilitron provides assistance with account setup, submitting requests, and uploading required documents. For assistance, please contact support@facilitron.com or 800-272-2962. 

We appreciate the partnership of our staff, families, community organizations, and facility users as we implement this new system. We believe Facilitron will make it easier to access Burbank Unified facilities while helping the District manage these important public resources more effectively.
