Career Technical Education (CTE)
Burbank Adult School’s Career Technical Education (CTE) programs provide short-term, hands-on training for adults who want to start a career, gain new job skills, or earn a certificate in a high-demand field.
CTE courses are designed for adults 18 years and older, students changing careers, students seeking job-ready skills, and ESL students transitioning into career training.
Most CTE courses are tuition-free or low-cost and focus on workforce readiness, skills training, and certificate completion. Completion certificates are available for select programs.

ESL To Career Training
Students enrolled in ESL who complete Level 3 or higher may transition into Career Technical Education programs.
Time, Cost & Commitment
- Program length varies by course. Most programs range from several weeks to one semester.
- Courses are tuition-free or low-cost.
- Students must attend regularly and complete at least 80% of course hours to earn a certificate.
Completion certificates for Career Technical Education courses are issued only to students who meet course competencies and complete at least 75% of course hours. Burbank Adult School does not guarantee job placement.
