Online Counseling
Our Online Counseling service allows current Burbank Adult School students and prospective students to connect with an academic counselor online but cannot come to campus. Meet with a BAS Counselor online and ask academic questions that pertain to reaching your educational goal at Burbank Adult school!
During the online counseling, students have an opportunity to briefly interact with a counselor online and ask a question or two of a very general nature. Topics may include:- Information about enrollment
- Information about High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (GED/HiSET) programs
- Questions our Career Technical Courses, ESL, and others listed on our Catalog
- Transfer information from another school
- Graduation requirements
- Academic Pathways
- Brief assistance with Transcript requests, Resource Referrals, Career Counseling, etc.
Before you log into your session, please review the online meeting etiquette and technical requirements.
Online Drop-in Counseling Schedule
Counselors are available virtually, Tuesday-Thursday, by clicking the link during the hours below*.
*Online counseling hours are subject to availability and may close early to help ensure students in the queue are seen.
Online Meeting Etiquette
Please be prepared for the session as you would for an in-person appointment on campus. Have your questions ready along with some paper and a pen/pencil to write down information.
Your session should be conducted in a quiet and private place. Please find a location where you will be able to communicate with the counselor effectively; so that the counselor can hear you and you can hear them as well.
Counseling sessions are confidential. The use of a private computer is strongly encouraged. If using a public/shared computer take all necessary measures to protect your data at the end of the session (e.g. clear download/browsing history, sign-out, etc.)
You will need to have access to a computer with specific technical requirements listed below. The following are recommended: proper attire; proper lighting in the room; quiet location; no interruptions (do not answer phone calls, texts or web surfing during the appointment); and give full attention to the counselor.
